Since 2014 I have developed a career on the synthesis and modification of nanomaterials for potential applications to nanomedicine. I took the first steps in this path in the course of my master thesis entitled “the experimental investigation of loading ability curcumin and polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymers on graphene oxide using EDC and their release time” at the University of Zanjan-Iran. I was a part of an energetic team of expert researchers supervised by Dr. Ramin Mohammadkhani from University of Zanjan and Dr. Hamed Nosrati from Zanjan University of Medical Sciences-Iran. In close cooperation with our supervisors and postgraduate students, we were successful in answering more than 11 questions and publishing our scientific findings in peer-reviewed journal papers. These publications were also summarized in a book chapter entitled “harnessing materials for X-ray based cancer therapy and imaging” in Springer-Nature in 2022. I completed my master of science in Nanoscience and Technology at the University of Zanjan in Feb 2018. Thereafter in Jan 2021, I admitted to the PhD in nanoscience and nanotechnology at Erciyes University-Turkey. Also, I received a scholarship of 650,000 TL from Büyük Öğrenci Projesi (BOP) at T.C. Erciyes Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Koordinasyon Birjmi in Turkey to work on aptamer-functionalized smart materials for targeted quantification of some of cancer biomarker using electrochemical techniques. I also cooperated another scholarship of 2,920,000 TL from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK-2232) to work on the production of highly magnetic nanoparticles using nanofabrication approaches and their applications as MRI contrast agents. In the course of these two projects, I have got busy with research subjects including (1) synthesis of silver-based targeted nanoparticles by albumin bio-mineralization method as a radiation sensitizer for cancer treatment in tumor mice in radiotherapy, (2) reactive oxygen species generation within cells in cancer hypoxia-mimic cells and breast cancer murine model with the aid of radiosensitizer, (3) the using up-conversion nanoparticles in order to the ROS generation in cancer cell, and (4) evaluation of encapsulation efficiency and loading capacity of targeted MNPs nanocarrier and upconversion NPs as a PLNPs in PDT/PTT. I have successfully accomplished all these research projects and my research findings were submitted to three peer-reviewed journal papers
