Ata has been deeply involved for more than 2 years in research projects in the area of heterogeneous catalysis, characterization, and synthesis of photocatalysts and semiconductors for wastewater treatment purposes. His research was mainly focused on the synthesis of bismuth-based photocatalyst like Bi4O5I2 which aimed to reduce the recombination rate of electron-holes by plasmonic nanoparticles and facilitate adsorption by carbon-based adsorbents like rGO, CAC, MWCNT. As a young researcher, he aims to develop a further multidisciplinary scientific expertise in the area of heterogeneous catalysis and nanotechnology with a special focus on wastewater treatment and electrolysis.
