My ambition to pursue a career in brain science is fueled by a desire to understand the most complex biological system we know of: the human brain. My specific interests have crystallized around the phenomenon of time perception—a fundamental yet poorly understood aspect of consciousness. I am captivated by the prospect of using brain imaging (fMRI/EEG) to observe the neural correlates of temporal processing and then employing brain stimulation techniques (TMS/tES) to experimentally test hypotheses about causality.
