Martina Stella

Engineer. That's the answer I had written on a drawing from primary school when asked what I wanted to become. I’m pretty sure I was unaware of what that word meant, but I have always been a determined person. Twenty years later, I combine my biomedical engineering skills for medical imaging with my recently discovered passion for nuclear physics. Being keen on making a concrete impact with my research, I am doing a PhD in collaboration with a company to help translate new ideas into clinical practice.
