It was just 3 months before Konkur (is the mandatory route for students wishing to gain admission to universities in Iran.) I decided to change my field from math-physic to art, I deeply liked studying music at university. Then I ranked 155 among 80,000 participants. It did not take long, I have understood my role is not to become a player or composer but be a researcher in cutting-edge fields: music cognition & computer music. I programmed a number of minimal software for rhythm improvising and software which can calculate all variations of Eqa'at in Ancient Iranian music. My bachelor's final project was an AI that creates pieces of music in CharGah (one of the Iranian Maqam) and asks listeners to rate that piece and train itself again with new data. For this purpose, I had to define a new term "Musical Syllable". I graduated Cognitive Science (Design and Creativity minor) at ICSS and working on my thesis which is about "measuring induced-emotion implicitly through Kansei Engineering” via cognitive assessment paradigms.
