I, Seyyed Alireza Arabzadehgan Hashemi, was born on the 16/9/1984, in Tehran. I have completed my primary, guidance, and high school education as an excellent student in Tehran. In 2003, despite being accepted in the field of mechanical engineering, due to my greater interest in architecture and urban planning, I chose urban planning at the request of several educational consultants. I believed that this choice was one of the best and most important decisions of my life. The reason for this is that Sheikh Bahai University in Isfahan is considered one of the best universities in urban planning with a focus on design in Iran, thanks to its use of professors from France, as well as faculty members from prestigious universities such as Iran University of Science & Technology, University of Tehran, and Isfahan University.
I have the honor of being ranked second with a score of 93.5% in the sketch section of urban design in the daily program at Tarbiat Modares University in 2009. Throughout my master's studies, I had the privilege of learning from professors such as Dr. Mohammad Reza Pourjafar, Dr. Mojtaba Rafieian, Dr. Ali Akbar Taghavi, Dr. Ehsan Ranjbar, and others. I graduated as the second top student with a GPA of 18.67 (Out of 20). During my studies in urban design at Tarbiat Modares University, I have published several scientific research articles, presented papers at conferences, and written a unique thesis titled "Designing Public Spaces Based on Ethnic Sub-cultures: Case Study of District 55 in Tehran," for which I received a perfect score.
During my master's studies, I aimed to gain professional experience in the field of urban planning and design. As a result, I worked on numerous urban planning and design projects as a specialist, technical manager, and project manager. During my master's program, due to my personal interest in teaching, I collaborated with the Urban Planning group at Kamal Al-Molk University in Nowshahr as a lecturer for courses such as Principles and Methods of Urban Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, History of Urbanization in Iran and the World, and more. I also supervised 33 theses during this period. As a result of these two years of collaboration, according to the officials of Kamal Al-Molk University, the academic level of urban planning students has improved, leading to the acceptance of some of them in reputable universities such as the University of Tehran for their Master's degree.
After completing my master's program and focusing on personal life and marriage, I was accepted as a scientific selectee among many applicants in the daily doctoral program at Tarbiat Modares University in 2013. During the doctoral program, I conducted research in various fields and successfully completed the comprehensive examination with the highest rank. After that, I continued my research on the topic of my doctoral dissertation and spent one month on a sabbatical at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona, Spain, where I worked as an assistant.
Furthermore, at the beginning of my doctoral program, a book extracted from my master's thesis titled "Manifestation of Iranian-Islamic Subcultures in Urban Space Design," co-authored with Dr. Mohammad Reza Pourjafar, was published. I have also authored several scientific research papers published in reputable journals and ISI indexes based on my doctoral dissertation. Additionally, I have collaborated with Dr. Ali Akbar Taghavi and Dr. Kamyar in translating the book "Environment and Mobility," which is currently in the final stages of publication.
During my doctoral studies and prior to my sabbatical, once again at the invitation of Kamal Al-Molk University in Nowshahr, I worked as a lecturer for the Master's program in urban design, teaching courses such as Urban Design Workshops, Rehabilitation and Renovation of Historic Fabrics, and Urban Laws for a period of two and a half years (2015 -2016). In November 2018, after five years of continuous work, I defended my doctoral dissertation titled “Explaining the Proposal Principles of Prosperous Neighborhood to Achieve Urban Prosperity in Tehran Metropolis " with an excellent degree from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran.
Since January 2020, I have been teaching at Soreh University. Currently, due to my interest in education and research, I am seeking to join the faculty at universities. Among my other characteristics, I enjoy reading books, exploring nature, mountaineering, and listening to music.
