I am Dr. Tahereh Alinejad from Iran. I have obtained my doctorate in Genetics and Molecular Biology from University of Malaya. My doctoral dissertation was on studying the Epigenetics of the innate immune system in the animal model of Freshwater prawn, M.rosenbergii. Our research has provided valuable insights into the genome's vulnerability to heat shock and its physiological responses and tolerance to environmental stress. My postdoctoral research endeavour centred around the study of lung cancer. The aim of the experiment was to identify a potent gene in Chinese lung cancer patients. I joined Oujiang laboratory as an associate research scientist. I am attempting to ascertain the mechanism by which FGF23 mitigates the deleterious effects of chronic kidney disease. In this project, I am establishing an animal model for chronic kidney disease, expressing the FGF23 protein and exploring therapy options for the animal models.
