Dr. Yousef TAMSILIAN is a research associate at Department of Chemical Eng., Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz (SCU) where is one of the comprehensive universities in Iran. He has got Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, having some technical operative courses at POLYMAT of University of the Basque. His M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses were about modeling and experimental study of rheological behavior of smart polymeric core-shell nanostructure fluids during the chemical EOR process.
Over nine years of professional academic and industrial experiences in the universities and oil & gas industries, he has run about 15 projects, published more than 70 papers in international and national journals and conferences and books subjected to the polymer, wastewater treatment, nanomaterial, and molecular dynamic. He also has two US. Patents and two Iranian Patents having EOR principles to proceed the edge of knowledge for chemical phased-behavior.
Given the academic and industrial view both in one pot through his excited background in Project Management Professional (PMP) and ISO/IEC 17025 Standards, his current interests have evolved into two principal themes:
1. Agile project approach: Smart chemicals for CEOR; O&G superhydrophobic absorber
2. Predictive project approach: Wastewater treatment, chemical process troubleshooting.
