I have been working voluntarily on a research project which is PCOS diagnosis by artificial intelligence, in Yas hospital and Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute affiliated with Tehran university of medical sciences, which is ranked 1st among Iran's medical universities.
I collect blood samples and hormone test results of PCOS patients and observe the disease symptoms on their bodies in Yas hospital, extract their DNAs at Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute, and gather all the data to register in an artificial intelligence platform collaborating with Italian medical universities in order to be able to diagnose the PCOS disease rapidly.
Furthermore, I have been working on expression of BRCA1 gene mutation in breast cancer, applying RNA extraction from paraffin embedded tissue, RT-PCR, qRT,PCR, and SDS-Page technics.
Moreover, I have been involved in cardiogenetics project, to work and find out genes involved in in-stent restenosis.
I have been writing several articles about The role of mitochondrial biogenesis in ischemic stroke (which is recently accepted in the Journal of Integrative Neuroscience), the investigation of genes involved in lung cancer, rRNA biogenesis role in neurodegenerative diseases, the role of COVID-19 vaccine in neurodegenerative diseases. I have also been involved in different research projects and workshops to boost my experimental experience and scientific knowledge. I have joined voluntarily to my professor’s lab collaborating on research projects and learned different valuable techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, and RNA extraction. Also, I have research experience in Viravigene company which works in the field of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, and Topazgene which works on coronavirus diagnosis kits. During this period, I got familiar with several experimental and bioinformatics techniques running in the genetic labs along with doing journal clubs and reading the papers.
