my name is Kimia Hashemi and I'm about to be graduated in master of science in genetics from Azad university of medical sciences, Tehran medical branch, Iran. During my studies I had the opportunity to gain valuable experiences in various laboratory techniques such as qualitative and quantitative PCR, electrophoresis, DNA, and RNA extraction, SDS-PAGE, and western blotting through attending an internship at Geniran laboratory, Tehran, Iran. Additionally, I have expanded my expertise through additional courses in Python and biopython programming, Bioinformatics, machine learning, and NGS data analysis which provided me with a range of efficient skills. Moreover, I am actively involved in scientific writing and data analysis of microarray datasets. I am part of a highly talented group of graduated students, and we have recently submitted an article for publication, with me serving as the first author. I am also fascinated about molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders as well as genome editing methods such as CRISPR/CAS9 in which my proficiency has enhanced through my participation in relevant courses and the acquisition of certification from Nexintek Canada.
