Naghme Firouzi

Naghmeh Firouzi is an M.Sc. graduate in Medical Physics from Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences. With a focus on epilepsy localization using 18F-FDG brain PET imaging, her research efforts have resulted in five accepted posters, three journal papers in preparation, and valuable experience in radiomics-based machine learning models. She has gained knowledge and experience in conducting image quality assessments and principles of quantitative brain analysis software. With two years of experience as an image analyst in the TUMS preclinical laboratory, analyzing Micro-PET, Micro-SPECT, Micro-CT, and Optical Images, together with remote collaboration with The University of Melbourne, she has honed her skills working with tools such as ImageJ, Avizo, VivoQuant, and Python. Her research interests encompass radiomics, AI and machine learning in medical imaging, neuroimaging (specifically through molecular imaging like PET), molecular imaging, quantitative imaging, and theranostics. Outside of academia, she has a passion for yoga, travelling, making wooden handicrafts, reading books, and photography. She is driven to contribute to the advancement of medical imaging technology and improve patient care through her expertise in quantitative analysis and image quality assessment.
