It was 6 years ago when I graduated in organic chemistry (Ph.D. degree), under the supervision of Prof. Amin Rostami, from the University of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran. Studying organic chemistry at the university, I gained a lot of experience in organic synthesis and cheminformatics.
Having graduated from the university, I decided to use my laboratory and computational experiences in the field of medicinal chemistry. Although I studied organic chemistry at the University of Kurdistan, I continued my research on medicinal projects under the supervision of Prof. Gholamabbas Chehardoli at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, Hamadan, Iran. To research the synthesis of dihydropyridine, amino benzothiazole, imidazole, xanthene, and coumarin derivatives as cytotoxic agents were what I did. Research in the field of medicinal chemistry in a researcher position made it possible for me to gain many experiences, such as the synthesis of small molecules and FDA-approved drugs, molecular docking, molecular dynamics, cell culture, and synthesis of polymers as drug carriers. While there are many benefits to scientific skills, it is simplistic to neglect the merits of team-working and advising student thesis.
Currently, to research medicinal chemistry projects as a research associate at the School of Pharmacy, Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, Hamadan, Iran, is all I do. I find it of great interest to continue my research on anticancer drugs.
