Statement Of Purpose” A long fruitful way has been paved by me, Azam Khodaeyan Karim, to be here today. As a child, I spent my fundamental education carefully since my family had always paid close attention to study. I remember when I was young, I felt passionate about the eating habits and the nutrition we used. I was obsessed with using healthy foods and the ways through which we could have fresh as well as nutrient foods. As I became older, this interest made me to think and search about the university majors dealing with food industry and farming. The more I explored, the mor I realized that working with and studying on preparing foods and producing farming products would be the thing I had been looking for throughout my whole life. Hence, after a lot of study, I managed to start my B.A. as an agriculture food industry student in Azad university of Sabzevar in Razavi Khorasan. This four-year period engaged me with a new world of opportunities for research and learn a great deal of necessary information in my specialty. While studying and getting the best results among my classmates, I started working as a teacher in different departments such as education department and Technical and Vocational Training Organization. As a teacher with 15 years of experience with a variety of students at a vast range of schools, I have always tried to do research on related subject matters to farming together with food industry like producing and manufacturing herbal medicines, cooking and chemical industry. Furthermore, my curiosity provided a situation for me which was full of diverse chances such as managing and planning in the area of family, helping the elderly and working in technical laboratories of producing herbal essences and cosmetics. After the great B.A. experience, I entered the Azad university of Quchan, Razavi Khorasan, as a M.A. student of food industry in the field of chemical industry. It was the beginning of a path in my both academic and work life. I have overcome my private life obstacles such as pregnancy and growing up the children as well as being a wife and a daughter. I have truly tried to not allow my huge responsibilities hinder my duties as a teacher and researcher. The evidence of my words is every workshop I joined, every student I trained, every product I manufactured and every research I did and wrote about. I faithfully believe that studying if not combining with practical job, could not be so effective in developing the society situation. so, in order to make use of my knowledge, I participated in technological and educational workshops and brilliantly I have used every piece of new information in my teaching. My students are used to study while they search, search while they learn and learn while work on improving the condition. Gloriously, with ceaseless attempts I succeed in preparing and writing some books and pamphlets which are currently utilized in educational centers in my country; the books and pamphlets due to them I received letter of appreciation from Agriculture Minister of Iran. This letter and the many similar ones I mentioned in my attached resume, provided me with an opportunity of being a successful mother, wife, teacher and researcher, as the people who know me say. I applied for studying food industry major at your university as a PH.D. student because I find this university as an update center which tries to be at the highest levels of global knowledge. Moreover, the serious way in which the university follow up its students and their education and job opportunities, was interesting to me. Also, the eminent aim of mine is to improve my knowledge using the fertile classes of the noteworthy professors of this university; so that I can be more useful for the society and people.
