When I started my undergraduate education, I wanted to be influential in society. I chose civil engineering, believing that a civil engineer is crucial in any development process. I studied civil engineering, including steel and concrete structures, hydraulic structures, road construction, traffic, etc. Simultaneously, I also worked with some construction contractors to utilize my academic background in practice. This experience has substantially enhanced my skills; thus, I have good knowledge-based expertise. I took my master's and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and construction management, where my Ph.D. thesis was titled "The monetary resource allocation in civil project portfolio by using fuzzy optimization models".
Among all the courses I took, the most interesting one was structural engineering, retrofitting, and structural modelling. I learned a lot about the design and construction of steel and concrete structure. Therefore, I tried to focus on using simulation software and learned about important software like SAP2000, ETABS 2000 and SAFE. Furthermore, coding courses like MATLAB and Excel helped me further develop my abilities.
I started working immediately after my master's degree in design department of mining and metal mega company, which faced with different designing challenges that helped me to gain on-site experience. These opportunities made me face construction and engineering challenges in mega projects like electrical arc furnaces, steel-making material handling, and heavy structures of workshops. I have always tried to expand my knowledge. So I have spent a lot of time studying standards, articles, and modern methods to improve the quality of my work. This resulted in some papers presented at conferences, symposiums, and journals and several recognitions from the company's management. Furthermore, I participated and led numerous projects about structural inspection, evaluation, modelling and retrofitting such as "retrofitting the melt shop steel structure to increase the overhead crane capacity from 100 ton to 300 ton", "inspection and modelling the billet yard handling steel structure", "design new billet yard with 38m bay and 15m height", "design new scrap yard with 35m bay and 25m height" and "inspection and reinforcing the main water transition tunnel of water treatment plant" in Khuzestan Steel Company by myself as the designer and team leader.
Due to an ongoing collaboration with big companies in the world, such as LKAB, INTECO and DANIELI, I am very familiar and updated with the heavy industry. I have been involved in many meetings and projects.
