My name is Milad Darmiani. I have successfully completed my Master's Degree in Power Systems from Birjand University, Iran, receiving an overall GPA 3.47/4. Regarding my M.Sc. thesis, it was about Investigation of the microvaristor effect in critical flashover voltage of insulator, under the supervision of Professor Hamidreza Najafi and Professor Reza Shariatinasab. As a result, I published an international conference paper, leading to a journal paper, entitled "Analysis of Electrical Characteristics of Composite Insulators with the Presence of Optimum Layer of ZnO Micro-varistors," which is in prepation. In the meantime, I published a further journal article concentrating on identifying coherent generators in power systems in IEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy. I have also been writing three journal articles in the fields of demand response and power system security as well as machine learning.
