As a student in the Master of Finance program at SBU University, I have demonstrated my academic excellence and aptitude through my involvement in the program. In addition to this, I have been fortunate enough to be a Teaching Assistant for the course Financial Statement Analysis and Security Valuation. in this curse I have been able to provide students with a greater understanding of the material and help them apply the concepts in their own projects. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant in the field of Behavioral Finance with Professor Mohammad Osoolian.
My research interests have chiefly been focused on Behavioral Finance. Behavioral finance is the study of how psychological factors affect financial decision-making. It is a relatively new field that combines psychology and economics to understand why people make the financial decisions they do. My interest in this particular field has culminated in a thesis study, titled "The Effect of Return Jumps on Herd Behavior in Security Markets". Through this work, I have sought to explore the impact of return jumps on the collective behavior of investors when making decisions in the securities market. The results of this research have provided me with a deeper understanding of the underlying motivations and mechanisms of herd behavior, and have further bolstered my conviction to pursue a career.
I believe that my experience in behavioral finance makes me uniquely qualified for a career in finance. I am able to understand both the quantitative aspects of finance and the psychological factors that influence investment decisions. I am confident that I can use this knowledge to be successful in any area of finance
